The reason I got into environmental science was so I could have a job that allows me to get away from the office once in a while. Field visits have been few and far between this year, and I find most of my days sitting at the computer, staring down a stack of paperwork about 2' high.
I hate paperwork.
So, on occasion, I need a mental break from all the fiber and this summer I discovered America's Got Talent. I don't have cable/tv hook up at home (no time, not worth the money), so I catch up on whatever peaks my interest via youtube--a little trick I picked up from my college roommate who caught up on her soaps via VHS and the fast-forward button (Hi Dawn!). I'd never seen the show before, but I like being able to just catch the highlights during lunch/snack in the afternoons; I watched all three seasons for the first time this month and I have to say THIS season (season 3) is my favorite.
I love it all--the dance troups, the 11 yr-old contortionist, and especially the sneaky surprise talents. Here's my favorite this year by far. . . had I been in the audience, I'd been in the aisle dancing away to Bad Girls . . . (toot, toot!)
