Much going on lately, too busy to type anything up except a sort of status list while my brain takes a moment to frantically switch gears from one work crisis to the next. Since my last post:
1. started working on Relay for Life stuff again and trying to update catalogue shots (thanks Lisa!!) and necessary items on the team blog--meetings for 2010 events coming up and brainstorming has begun. Tea cups/group blends?? Mardis Gras theme??? Face-painting, Winchester Underground, other ideas.
2. currently under first preliminary testing for possible cardio issues related (or not) to the seizure stuff--we have to rule some things out, so right now I'm hooked up to an auto-record monitor for heart rate. Two weeks in, two weeks to go; currently averaging 3 asymptomatic episodes a day when I am not aware that my HR drops down to 30 bpm or less, plus 1 or 2 times when I do have symptoms. Am hoping this does not spell "P-A-C-E-M-A-K-E-R"
3. WORK IS INSANE (oops, check caps lock, though it still applies!) and mostly I'd just like to have one week here where everything runs smoothly for once. Some of it is me, most of it is reactions to things which are not in my control, but I must fix or work around. Debating today if I should consider part-time work closer to home or some other variety of work hours to keep me full-time here, but give me one extra day off per week at home to do other things.
4. Feeling like persona non grata at the apartment lately, though this may not be true, or perhaps I am included on the receiving end of someone else's behaviour-check. Don't know, don't like the feeling regardless: if I am doing something wrong, tell me straight out. I don't get (and never have!) indirect communication--does not compute. Debating today on refocusing attention on bedroom work and wondering if I should make a 3-yr plan to get my own house . . . prolly should anyway.
5. Crap, forgot to send in my car taxes!!! Note to self, stop by city hall after Thurs appt. Meh.
6. Am feeling tied by projects at home, but excited to be working on two duvet covers for the bed. Less blue this year; feeling retro orange/pink jacobean with brown and green polka dots, and vintage lemon yellow with tone-on-tone matching stripes and white/green speckles. Bring on the sunshine! I missed you, yellows and greens and red pinks. Blue is okay, but I was surrounded by muted tones for too long. . .
7. Etsy: I long for you! If I could just break my need for escape into books and video games I could be there for you again!!! Company design is done, need cards, need a store web design, need to start you officially and clear up some of this space in my studio. I'm already working xmas for 2010, the economy will catch up. Tis' a year for sewing, I think . . . too many lovely vintage/retro designs on the market lately to ignore, not enough storage space to hoard them!
