Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!!
Safe journey to those who are traveling, peace and a moist turkey for those staying home.

Although I may run up to mom's for a bit tomorrow (T-day), my ultimate plans involve staying in my jammies and sock-monkey slippers for as long as possible. Maybe I'll actually address the stack of dishes teetering in my sink and clean up the kitchen enough to make a sammich or a cobbler. Eh--my thought processes end at jammies and slippers.
Here's my Thanksgiving toast for this year:
Thanks for family who have my back when I ask for it, and keep me in check when I need it.
Thanks for true friends who know my faults and accept me for them anyway, or perhaps in spite of them.
Thanks for unquestioning companionship when the house seems too quiet for the low, low cost of a hug and some cat hair on my clothes.
Thanks for employment at a job I love and people I love to work with, and for the opportunities they have provided me to see more of the country AND a wicked cool bonus for the extra hours to do it.
Good bread, good meat, thank God! Let's eat!!
