My Twin Contest (really)

"They" say everyone's got a twin. It's not hard to imagine why, when there are only so many facial combinations you can pull together out of a finite number of nose shapes, eye colors, smiles types, etc. And, at last count, there are just under 7 billion folks out there.

I think I must have some kind of common combination, since I've had so many people, in so many different places tell me I look just like so-and-so. Although I haven't kept count, I think I'm up to about 8 'twins'--none of whom I've ever seen or met.

Even my mother is stymied. She swears that, had she not been present at my birth, I am a twin. Apparently my identical female twin even lives in the same city as I do. I've had complete strangers come up to me and start some conversation and then stop mid-sentence and say 'Wow, you're not so-and-so. You look just like her!" Needless to say, I'm more than a little curious about these twin sightings--how fun!

This year there have been two new Beth Twin sightings: one from my sister who had a computer class with my male twin this spring, and one just now from a co-worker who swears her friend Marshall is also my male twin (or, at least, my brother who has a very strong resemblance).

Thus begins the My Twin contest. If you've seen my twin, grab your cameras and snap one for the blog!! Heh.
