Tuesday Night (Aug 19 2008)
Ugh. I was definitely glad to be back at work today and kick-start the week by jumping back into the usual schedule, but MAN I don't think my brain and body were quite ready for the full dose! My eyes are killing me from staring at the computer screen all day, and I kept finding myself getting up and walking around just to get out of my desk chair for a bit . . . not hard to imagine why since I spent my work-days last week walking around for 10+ hours a day. Habit forming, I guess.
Anywho, ran a few errands before coming home and saving the gym/laundry combo for tomorrow. I've got a few hours left in the day and am now revising my original to-do list for this evening to just three things:
1. Eat dinner (grilled cheese sammich (organic cheese--I can take it a little better, so I can actually have a sandwich worth's--stupid intolerance) with pancetta, tomato and my special nummy spice blend. Normally I don't eat breads or starchy foods for dinner (not anymore), but I sooo need a grilled cheese--seriously craving one today). Maybe also a blueberry smoothie to use up some pre-vacation produce and balance out the veggie/fruit requirement. I dunno--should definitely consider stopping typing to actually go FIX something, though!
2. Watch a movie. Probably the latest Die Hard, maybe Knocked Up again. "Rhymes with schushmortion." LOL!!
3. Do some knitting. In no way do I want to start back into stripping wallpaper tonight, which was the original plan, so I'm tabling that until Thursday and just relaxing tonight, sheesh! I started my first felting project a couple of months ago--a set of pillows for my new non-existent living room sofa (not purchased yet), but I messed up right in the middle and I had to back-track and bind off (end-finish) the problem rows, so now I have TWO half-finished, half-sized pieces. No problem-o: I decided I wanted some design worked into it, so this lets me do that; just got to finish them . . . bleh.
Guess I better get to it and start relaxing while I can! Grilled cheese is calling . . .
