Apple Blossom Be HERE!!!

Finally! It's like our Ode To Spring meets Mardis Gras, and if you can't enjoy it, then you're a miserable old cuss.

10 days of fancy-pants dinners, ball gowns, music festivals, baking contests, the circus, the carnival, the parades, the midway, the funnel cakes and corn dogs, the bloomer luncheon with lots of alcohol, the anti-bloomer luncheons with lots of Chippendales, the celebrities we love, and the celebrities we love to hate (don't agree to come here and then cop an attitude, we'll show you the door and tell all our friends what a prat you are), the blooms, the sweet smell of spring, the first taste of summer, the fireworks, and the seemingly endless supply of neon-glow jewelry.

Dude, it is SUCH a TRAVESTY that I get barracaded in for 3 whole days because I live on the parade route and 2 blocks from the midway. Tragic. Painful. Really a SHAME I have to stay home from work (because you seriously can't leave, or if you do, you can't get back in) because of Apple Blossom. Travesty.

Please, Briar Fox, don't throw me in that there briar patch . . . PLEASE!!!

Anywho: this weekend kicked off the swearing in of various official party people, the queens dinner, and the wine & arts festival on the old downtown mall. I went for the music and people watching, and stopped in to the Snow White Grill for lunch besides. Started up an ABF 09 photo album, keep checking back in for updates as the next "big" weekend approaches.
