Whew!
Kaitlyn is turning 6 in a few weeks, and Johnny will be 9 a few weeks after that; they usually have some kind of joint party at home and that's that. They're both in school now with social lives and growing entourages of friends, so last fall they were given the option to either a) have a single joint party at home with a few friends and family, or b) have an immediate-family-only birthday meal on their actual birthdays and each have a big playdate party with their friends sometime later in the year.
They went with the big party, of course!
Johnny's going to have a simple at-home party fest. Kaitlyn, however, decided to go with a themed party and she's at that age where everything is pink and purple, glitter and bling, and 14 costume changes a day. Thus was born The Princess Party.
Pam and I have been working on ideas for a while and started finalizing the big stuff recently. We have the place, we have the guest list, we have the photographer. As of yesterday we now have the food, the activities, and the Princess Cake all taken care of. Woo!!
Now the fun really begins: the dresses!
