Disney On The Brain (villains/sidekicks)

I actually had planned to write this up and post it before I left--ran out of time, so had then planned to post it mid-week from DW--no internet connection, so left it for "later."

Anywho, ever since Sleeping Beauty and that amazing dragon transformation by the villainess Maleficent I have been somewhat a fan of the villains (and their sidekicks). How can I not be--they are the true underdog! They usually have the coolest outfits, try their very hardest to work all sorts of tricks to get what they want and in the end get bested by some apple-cheeked teenager who dances with happy forest creatures--all their carefully thought out plans gone awry.

The 'new' Disney animated movies the last couple of years have really been geared toward a whole-family entertainment--something both adults and children can enjoy. I have an all-time favorite Disney movie, but interestingly enough my favorite villian/sidekick combo is in another movie all-together . . .

I found a number of quotes and clips that would have taken far less time to view, but in the end I stuck with this 10-minute clip that is direct from the movie and encompasses just about every favorite quote, one-liner, action, etc that I like about this villain/sidekick combo. So, until I get to any newer posts this week, I present to you my favorite evil duo: Yzma and Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove.
